More Americans died from the Influenza Pandemic of 1918 than were killed in WWI, the Vietnam War, or in any hurricane in American history. With the rising costs of medications, Generic Prescriptions are becoming more popular than ever. Some 65% of all prescriptions filled in the U.S. are now Generic, yet they account for only 20% of dollars spent on Rx. That shows the enormous savings between Generic and Brand Name prescription drugs.
By law, Generics must have the same active ingredient and the same action as the Brand version, which allows Generics to piggyback on the original safety and efficacy trials of Brand, hence the much lower price. (more…)

Pandemic or Panic?
People are afraid of what they do not understand, causing panic and overreaction. With the proper knowledge, precautions can be taken to insure your health and that of your family. So here are the facts as we know them about H1N1 otherwise known as “Swine Flu”.
WebMD breaks down the facts and answers the most asked about questions. What are the swine flu symptoms? Are you protected with the flu vaccination? How is it passed on? What precautions can you take to avoid illness?
So although the US Government has declared swine flu to be a public health emergency and advises us to take precautions, “The World Health Organization has not declared swine flu to be a pandemic.”
